Getting to know: Lois Alston, Founder & CEO
Hi, my name is Lois Alston. I'm 34, a mum of three children and I have been in the industry for 20 years.
When I was just 18, my mum and I opened up our beautiful salon - The Color and Therapy Lounge. I started running my beauty business on my own, but then quickly progressed to training my own apprentices to the highest standard and watched them grow and blossom over the years into successful business owners themselves.
I am highly experienced in all things beauty, particularly aesthetics and permanent makeup, and I trained with some of the world’s leading educators. In 2012, I continued to progress into PMU, tattooing brows, lips and eyeliner. but it was specialising in brows that helped my business to really take off.
My passion for teaching is massive and love nothing more than offering training courses, sharing my knowledge and skills and helping others achieve their goals and dreams. My academy can hold up to four students at a time and I am pleased to now offer courses in beauty and PMU. The courses range from complete beginners through to trained artists looking to further improve their skills.
I currently have a team of beautiful ladies who work to a five-star standard in our prestigious salon offering hair and beauty treatments.

Permanent Make-up Pre & Aftercare
This treatment is 50/50 … 50% me and 50% you!
PRE CARE
- Do not drink alcohol, coffee strong tea, herbal teas, caffeinated drinks at least one day before the treatment.
- No sun beds and do no sunbath at least 5 days before.
- Do not perform acid facial peeling, facial cleansers, microdermabrasion, facial laser hair removal, skin needling at least one month before.
- If you get Botox injections, you should wait one month before the treatment.
- Do not take aspirin, vitamins or ibuprofen 24 hours before treatment.
AFTER CARE
- It is crucial you follow the aftercare advice I'm about to give you, but firstly when leaving the clinic please take a Piriton (allergy tablet).
- From 8pm apply the cream and continue 3 times a day for 10 days.
- Do not get your brows or lips wet for 7-10 days, head back when washing hair and drink through a straw.
- Colour will appear 40% darker straight away, it will get darker then day 5 it will get lighter and it's natural colour will appear.
- NO SUN BEDS.
- Wear SPF protection when they are in direct sun or on the sun beds after your healing.
- Flaking, patchiness is normal on brows.
- Swelling and redness is also normal.
- DO NOT itch, pick, scratch or rub the area or the colour will heal unevenly cause scarring and infection.
- Avoid swimming, sun beds, sun bathing and fake tan until the newly treated area is fully healed, as direct sunlight /chlorine can interact with pigments causing skin irritation and inflammation.
- In order to keep your permanent cosmetic work in perfect condition it may be necessary to have a maintenance procedure about every 12 to 18 months, though this will vary for each individual.
- Thank you and see you on your 4-8 week top up.
HEAL - your body will start to heal. The skin will close and you will see a thin scab which protects the area whilst healing.
PEEL - everyone’s healing process is Feiffer to depending on how your body heels. In most cases it takes 7-10 days for brows to flake over. After touch up appointment true colour may not be visible for up to 3 months.
FADE - during the healing stage In the 7-10 days for your permanent makeup will be patchy and uneven. You will see a lighter hue of implanted colour underneath. Once brows have flakes off your colour will almost disappear then it takes 4-6 weeks for the colour to reappear and darken.

Ombre Brows
The latest technique. Ombre brows gives you a soft powder effect with a fade towards the front of the brow, giving them a subtle Ombre appearance. Ombre brow creates a soft tinted look similar to the look of makeup.
Microblading
This treatment is performed by manual deposit of pigment under the top layer of skin by a special pen. The hairstroke produced with microblading are a lot finer than with the digital machine. This treatment is most suitable for normal skin type and hair to creates a soft fluffy look.
Hair Stroke Brows
This treatment is performed using a digital machine, rather than the microblading hand tool, eyebrow tattooing. Through using the correct shape and style, a great brow can help to frame your face through adding expression, warmth and depth. This treatment is most suitable for those with enlarged pores and an oily skin type.
Nanoblading
Nanoblading is the finest form of microblading, this involves using a special handheld pen and super fine blade to produce the finest most natural looking hair strokes. This treatment is best suited if you have finer or very little natural brow hair.
Combination Brows
Acombination of Hair Stoke and Ombre effect brows. This technique is perfect if you don’t have much natural brow hair and you want to create extra fullness and depth in the body of the brow. We apply hair strokes at the front of the brows and add shading into the body and the tail of the brow to create extra definition and fullness. For a fuller brow with more depth, this is perfect.
Lip Blush
Wake up everyday with perfectly defined lips with a touch of subtle colour . Lip blush enhances your defination and symmetry creating fuller and natural looking lips and enhancing the beauty of your natural lip colour . We have a beautiful range to choose from and each pigment is carefully mixed and matched to suit your skin tone , leaving you with beautifully defined lips so you can just gloss and go.
Brow 4-8 week top up
The second treatment is perfecting treatment. Your treatment is not complete until both treatments are performed. Eyebrows colours are complex, consisting of combinations of colour mixtures. As a result they are less stable and lack longevity as compared to primary colours. Therefore, eyebrows require a top up to keep them looking fresh.
Brow Lamination
For those wanting a FULLER and FLUFFIER brow style. This treatment will change the direction of the hair growth! Suitable for everyone!
Keratin Lash Lift
For those wanting a fuller and lifted lash style. This treatment will change the direction of the hair growth! Say goodbye to the lash curlers! Different size shields will be selected based on your suitability and requirements!
